Head of Estates & Masterplanning

Beach Baker is pleased to be working with an international not-for-profit organisation that runs two major visitor attractions in London & the South East to recruit a Head of Estates & Masterplanning to its senior leadership team. This is a newly created role, where the jobholder will lead in transforming the management of the Estates and in developing a new 10-year masterplan for each of the sites.

Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Estates & Masterplanning will manage up to 20 people and oversee teams including health and safety, security, capital projects, sustainability and facilities management. They will take responsibility for delivering efficient planned and reactive maintenance across the estate, which includes a number of Grade I & II listed buildings, whilst overseeing all H&S matters, ensuring full compliance and implementing new strategies where required.

This role will work with the Head of Capital Projects to oversee priority projects and the transformation of the Estates function to meet the growing needs of the organisation, whilst developing the new Masterplan alongside the senior leadership team.

The successful candidate will be degree qualified and have a professional qualification such as CBIFM, RICS or CIBSE. They will need to have experience in leading a large Estates team for large varied sites and have excellent leadership skills. They should also have significant experience in large scale masterplanning and budget management in a complex organisation. Previous experience working for a not-for-profit or in the visitor attractions industry is highly desirable.
