I have been instructed on a great opportunity in North Devon for an MRICS surveyor to take on the responsibility for a portfolio of assets in and around the north Devon area.
The assets are diverse and no 2 days will be the same so this will keep the post holder busy but at the same time interested in their day to day workload. In essence, as Estates Officer, you will be responsible for the corporate property estate of this organisation and the provision of a valuation and agency service.
The Estates surveyor undertakes various asset valuations for acquisitions, disposals and annual accounts including fees for new licenses and rents for new leases. You will negotiate with tenants or their agents on terms of new leases including rent, term and liabilities for insurance and repairs, negotiating with prospective licences or their agents and preparing schedules of dilapidations for property at start of a new lease.
From an Agency perspective you will advertise properties for disposal, draw up sales particulars, instruct agents and solicitors as well as prepare Head of Terms and progress disposal agreements through to completion.
