Beach Baker are delighted to be instructed on a project development monitoring role in the South of England for one of our core clients. The position focuses on due diligence and monthly valuations on behalf of funders for projects of a wide spectrum.
You will be expected to provide a development monitoring function for banking clients with a thorough technical residential new build and refurbishment knowledge and preferably experience with commercial property construction to include; leisure, retail and health-care.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be a strong people person with excellent relationship management capabilities, have a good head for figures and contractual matters.
The position will be a busy one, with a 50/50 office (M4 corridor)/site split to sites across the South of England to include some in the Midlands, the whole of the South of England and some high end London projects. The reporting function will be on the viability of a development project (initial report) and cost, time and quality as well as interim reports on statutory procedural adherence to agree release of funds.
Short-listed candidates will preferably be MRICS or MCIOB, have good budgetary control, solid construction cost knowledge and had experience with the process of construction, excellent working knowledge of JCT forms of contract, thorough development procurement experience and ability to produce interim valuations.
The role would suit a cost and construction focussed project building surveyor or client facing quantity surveyor who has gained hands on experience on site and can transfer this to a monitoring role.
