Building Surveyor – Traditional Practice

A leading multidisciplinary practice with a national presence has recently instructed Beach Baker to recruit a Building Surveyor within their busy Cardiff office.

The team covers project and conservation work up to £2 – £3m, as well as all professional work including building surveys, defects investigation, party wall advice and expert witness services although does not undertake stock condition surveys and dilapidations. The role will involve working on education projects as part of a four-year framework agreement and other estates including grade 1 and 2 listed buildings.

We are seeking a Building Surveyor with a broad range of capabilities including specification writing and contract administration. Working within an established national team, you will be responsible for your own instructions and assisting with the continued growth of the team.

The ideal candidate will be MRICS with around 2+ years PQE, however non-chartered candidates relevant experience will be considered. Candidates must also have a keen interest in and knowledge of traditional construction and conservation on historic/listed buildings.
