Job Title: Building Surveyor

Location: Oxford

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + Car Allowance, benefits, package. (Dependent on experience).

Our client, a market leading property consultancy, are looking for a Building Surveyor to join their Oxford office. With an international reach to over 50 countries this is a great opportunity join a firm that provides professional services, design, contract administration, and project management services to a diverse range of clients.

As Building Surveyor, you will assist the team in all areas of work to provide delivery on time and within budget. You will provide traditional building surveying services, including dilapidations, party wall, due diligence surveys, building pathology, condition surveys, measured surveys, reinstatement cost assessments and project management of small works.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking professional services (such as dilapidations, party wall, acquisition surveys)
• Overseeing the design and production of planning, tender and construction drawings.
• Liaising with external structural engineers and other sub consultants.
• Determining project specifications and client requirements and performance standards, completing technical solutions and undertake feasibility studies to identify optimum designs.

As Building Surveyor, you will have will have an understanding of construction processes, process of dilapidations, party wall matters. You will have some experience of undertaking building surveys for due diligence and working on building projects. The candidate will ideally have knowledge of structural engineering principles, experience of working on civil projects and knowledge of heritage projects and conservation of the built environment.

You will ideally be MRICS qualified, however our client will consider other relevant experience in place of chartered status. On offer is the opportunity to join a supportive environment offering excellent progression opportunities with a very competitive salary.
