Building Surveyor – Client Side (Leisure Sector)

We’re delighted to be recruiting to a client-side building surveyor role based in the Midlands for a technically strong (no need to be Chartered) building surveyor with good CAD skills to work around the Midlands and beyond in places of outstanding natural beauty. Our client has over 100 sites across the UK with this roving position being based out of accessible Midlands offices with on-site free parking.

The objective of the regional surveying team is to deliver essential operational and services benefits to sites under management. Reporting to the Senior Regional Development Manager, you will work closely with managed sites to ensure access and facilities are fully operational to ensure memorable positive customer experiences in line with best health and safety practice.

Your primary functions will be centred around design, CAD work, tender, contractor appointment & management, site inspection including preparing schedules of condition and contract administration. You should have good building construction knowledge, preferably some civils experience in relation to ground works and services, some mechanical and electrical knowledge and be able to review local problems, finding solutions with contractors and local operational managers.

This position would suit a candidate working in private practice, local authority, housing association, and/or with some experience working with a small main contractor educated to HND or Degree level.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity with a salary to £30,000, plus car allowance of c£5,000 (or car), 23 days annual leave, rising to 28 in year 2 with the option to buy or sell 5 days, expenses for travel and where necessary overnight stays.
