A great opportunity has arisen for an Associate level Town Planner to join an independent multi-disciplinary consultancy in the North East. This firm have a network of offices throughout the region so have a strong presence in the market and are a recognised brand. This role will be based in Durham and is a result of increased workload/expansion.

You will be joining a small but well-established team who are known for their long-standing client relationships and for being a successful regional property and planning consultancy. You will be involved in and lead on a diverse range of projects at various scales including residential, rural. commercial, and mines and minerals; working in a multi-disciplinary team of chartered planners, in-house architects, valuers and surveyors. This post offers the opportunity to join and help shape the expanding team with a reputation for excellent client service and quality of advice. Clients are often large land-owners and institutional clients but also include developers, property companies and public sector organisations.

We are looking for MRTPI qualified candidates, ideally with some recent/current consultancy experience. You should be confident in client relationship building and have a proven track record in this. You will be running projects, preparing, submitting and negotiating planning applications and Listed Building and consent (LBC) independently, responding to development plan consultations and coordinating external and internal teams to effectively deliver schemes on schedule.
