Associate/Senior Associate Town Planner (Manchester)

Posted on: 06/03/2019 ~ Company:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate/Senior Associate to join a leading independent planning consultancy in Manchester. You will be joining a successful team who have a great reputation in the market and impressive client base.

This firm cover the full spectrum of planning work but are particularly strong in residential, mixed-use, commercial and retail. They deal with a good number of reputable housebuilders, developers, retailers, pub operators, investors, land owners and land promoters across the North/North West area.

We are looking to make a very senior appointment for this recruit, so it is key that the individual fits well into the team and can help to push the business forward. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is MRTPI, has private sector experience from the local area and enjoys working in a less corporate, independently run working environment. This firm do not micro-manage, they work on a trust basis and pride themselves on being a friendly, supportive and approachable team. We are looking for candidates who enjoy business development and being part of a thriving business and who are looking for the challenge of helping the business to grow further.

Your project experience could either be varied to hit the ground running with the diverse projects, or we would also welcome a specialist who can compliment the business with a new sector stream (for example infrastructure, energy, environmental), for the latter you would need to demonstrate a strong contact base in your specialist area. We are ideally looking for a contact base from within this firm’s key patch to add to their excellent reputation in the area so unfortunately, we cannot consider relocators for this role. There are existing projects to get stuck into straight away and clients for you to develop but at this level, we would be looking for you to add to that with good contacts of your own.

You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary, lucrative benefits and a very generous bonus scheme that is related to individual performance with very realistic targets.

For more information on this role and/or to apply please send your CV (which will be treated in the strictest of confidence and never sent to any client without fully briefing you and gaining your permission) to Ruth Hoggett ([email protected]).
