A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a chartered town planner at Associate level to join one of the leading planning teams in Birmingham. You will be joining a key name in the industry boasting a very well-established client base working on some of the most exciting projects in the city. You will be based in the centre of Bristol and working in a busy, modern and open plan office.

We are looking for candidates who are MRTPI qualified and who have planning consultancy experience. We can consider current associate level planners or possibly a strong senior planner for the right person. You will ideally be working within the Birmingham/Midlands planning market already although relocators may be considered. The team work on a range of projects including city centre regeneration schemes, commercial developments, sport/leisure, retail/mixed-use and residential projects. They also have a strong base of clients in the public sector so can offer a varied and exciting portfolio of work. Your role will include; site visits, site appraisals, feasibility studies, writing planning statements, preparing and submitting planning applications, S106 negotiations, liaising with professional bodies and specialist consultants, assisting with any appeals, business development activities and client liaison whilst providing the high level of expert town planning advice and consultancy service expected from this team.

We are looking for candidates who have a good range of project experience to be able to cope with the fast-paced environment and varied portfolio. You should be confident in client facing situations and in your presentation skills, you should enjoy networking and be able to demonstrate how you have been conducting business development in your current role. You should thrive in a busy team environment. The team regular go to industry events and really encourage CPD and career progression.
