Andy Heath, Head of Office agency at Cushman & Wakefield in Bristol comments on news that planning permission for YTL’s Bristol Arena at Filton Airfield has been approved:

“Cushman & Wakefield has been advising YTL since 2016 and we are delighted they have been granted approval to develop one of the largest arenas in the UK at Brabazon Hangars.

The announcement is a huge step towards fulfilling YTL’s vision for putting Bristol on the world stage for live entertainment. The arena will be the third largest in the UK and the biggest in the South West and will help to put the Brabazon new neighbourhood on the national map as well as creating a centrepiece for the wider area’s regeneration plans which include new homes, schools, parks and employment space.

In addition to creating the world-class entertainment venue which Bristol has been crying out for, the arrival of ancillary services, including leisure and food and beverage operators will make it a truly 24/7 destination.

The public transport infrastructure and connectivity of Brabazon will also help make it a unique destination for office occupiers, residents and leisure users alike – the future of this new neighbourhood is very exciting and we are delighted to be a part of the journey.”
