Browne Jacobson expands Birmingham property litigation team with duo hire

Browne Jacobson has strengthened its property litigation team in Birmingham with the appointment of a new partner and solicitor.

Pamela Shepherd, regarded as one of the region’s leading real estate litigation lawyers,  has joined the firm from Harvey Ingram Shakespeares in Birmingham where she was Partner and Head of Property Litigation. Independently rated by legal directory Chambers, Pamela’s twenty year career spans commercial real estate disputes for a wide range of property clients.

Prior to joining Harvey Ingram Pamela was head of property litigation for DLA Piper Birmingham office for nearly 12 years. She has also held positions at Edge & Ellison (now Squire Sanders) and Eversheds.

Pamela’s appointment will be accompanied by the arrival this month of property litigation solicitor Harriet Critchely who also joins from the property litigation team at Harvey Ingram Shakespeares. Harriet is experienced in managing all types of property-related problems for a broad portfolio of commercial, retail, rural and residential property clients. Her experience covers the full range of property litigation, including dilapidations claims, possession proceedings, redevelopment disputes and professional negligence claims.

She has also managed large property portfolios including The Crown Estate and the Falcon Property Trust which include high end retail units, offices, residential property and industrial warehouses. With its 12 strong legal team across three of its offices Pamela and Harriet join one of the region’s largest dedicated real estate litigation teams. Clients include, amongst others, Alliance Boots, the Homes and Communities Agency and one of the country’s leading hardware stores.
