New estate near Mansfield to benefit from two new retail units

Residents of a new estate near Mansfield will soon benefit from two new retail units expected to be built by the end of the summer.

The new units, currently being built next to a new Lincolnshire Co-op food store within Cavendish Park Estate in Clipstone, have been put on the market by leading property consultancy Fisher German.

The units are both 650 sq ft in size, and have planning permission to become either a new shop, a restaurant or café, or a takeaway.

They can either be leased individually, or both of the units can be leased together to form larger premises.

It is expected the two units will serve around 1,400 households located in and around Cavendish Park Estate once all the homes have been built.

Ben Flint, Senior Surveyor at Fisher German, felt this was a chance for businesses to help serve a growing community.

He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for local and national occupiers to take advantage of an immediate catchment of over 1,000 households at the Cavendish Park Estate, with further houses being built soon.

“This site will be very popular with shoppers thanks to The Lincolnshire Co-op opening their new store, which means new occupiers will benefit from high levels of footfall as well as many people arriving by car thanks to the large car park.

“The units are also right next to a well-used walking and cycling route, which means the stores will see even more customers beyond those who live in the estate.

“These high-quality units will be suitable for a wide range of retail uses and we encourage any potential occupiers to get in touch to discuss further as we anticipate high levels of interest.”

Lincolnshire Co-op’s Store Development Manager Matthew Wilkinson added: “We’re looking forward to opening our new food store, where we’ll provide a wide range of groceries, including fresh produce and a large chilled selection.

“Services will include a free-to-use ATM and takeaway Costa Coffee. We hope to welcome the first customers inside early this summer.

“The store will create 15 full and part time roles and we’ll be recruiting in coming months – all vacancies will be advertised on the Lincolnshire Co-op website.”
