New build Frome unit snapped up

A new build industrial unit at Commerce Park, Frome has been let as the region’s premier business development continues to expand.

The first phase of the 21-unit Jenson Court development on one of Somerset’s most popular business parks was recently completed.

The 2,500 sq ft Unit 6 was let to Tom Lam, MD of Safeflame (UK) Ltd in a deal brokered by property consultancy Myddelton & Major.

Quoting rent for the unit – ground floor 1,875 sq ft and first floor 625 sq ft – was £16,000 per annum with a new 10-year lease agreed.

Myddelton & Major Surveyor Gary Mead said: “Mr Lam was seeking new premises for Safeflame and I was delighted to help facilitate the move for this growing business.

“Safeflame – the result of a number of years’ research – is the development of a ‘safer and better brazing flame’ using hydrogen and oxygen from electrolysis of de-ionised water needing only water and electricity and no chemicals.”

“Jenson Court – the latest development at popular and growing Commerce Park is creating new jobs as the demand for high-quality industrial space regionally from new and expanding companies continues to grow.

“The strategically-located park offers high specification industrial/warehouse units and strong demand continues with three units now let, one under offer and just three remaining.”

Frome is situated in a strategic location on the Somerset/Wiltshire border with excellent road and rail access to major networks.

The M4 is accessed via the A36 and Frome station offers direct mainline services. Bristol Airport is approximately 30 miles away.

Commerce Park is located on the Frome bypass, midway between the M4, M5 and A303 corridors close to the junction of the A36 and A361.

It is approximately 14 miles south of Bath and 13 miles from the A303 and is situated on the A361 (Frome by-pass), approximately two miles south of the A36/A361 junction.

Other established businesses at Commerce Park include Screwfix, Storagebase, Cox & Cox and Euro Car Parts. Facilities include a Premier Inn Hotel and Public House. There is also a petrol filling station with convenience store.
