Development Director at CWC Group, James Richards, is delighted to announce the intention to commence work in 2020 on the speculative construction of a range of smaller warehouse and industrial units at Stoney Stanton, approximately 6 miles from Hinckley and within minutes of the A5 and M69.

To be marketed by Tim Gilbertson and Chris Proctor of FHP and Mike Allwood and Geoff Gibson of Andrew & Ashwell, it is anticipated that once detailed planning consent is obtained that work on site will commence early in Summer 2020 with practical completion of the scheme due in the first quarter of 2021.

A range of units from as little as 2,300ft² up to approximately 20,000ft² will be built out, all available to purchase or rent.

Sitting on the edge of Stoney Stanton, just off Huncote Road, the development will provide much needed space for local and regional occupiers to expand into and offer a rare chance for them to purchase or rent their own building.

Tim Gilbertson of FHP commented:

“The M69 Corridor, Hinckley and surrounding areas and indeed South Leicester have been crying out for new development for some time.

Whilst much of the stock built around Hinckley in recent years has been targeted at major distribution companies, this scheme is ideal for expanding local occupiers as we can offer a range of buildings from as little as 2,300ft² upwards.

The key benefit as well is that all will be available to buy or rent.

We know where we have seen clients create similar schemes in Leicestershire how strong demand is and we so reason why Stoney Stanton Business Park should not be a great success.”

Mike Allwood of Andrew and Ashwell added:

“Marketing will start properly over the coming months but we are keen to invite early interest from any party looking to purchase or rent space.

We see interest coming from companies already based in the area but also those business owners who perhaps live to the south or west of Leicester who want to take advantage of this great location without the daily grind of commuting in along the M69 and M1.”

Development Director, James Richards at CWC Group concluded by adding:

“We are very confident that this location will go well having developed any number of similar sized schemes throughout the East Midlands over many years.

Unlike many developers we are more than happy to sell as well as lease space and we are very hopeful of agreeing any number of deals before we even put the first spade in the ground.

Hopefully this will be of great benefit to the local economy as we know that businesses have been starved of opportunities to buy and rent warehouse and production space in the region for many years.”
