Swansea Bay Business Club and their guests were treated to an afternoon of entertainment from one of Wales’ leading comic talents, Mike Bubbins, at the Club’s annual Beaujolais celebration networking lunch on Thursday 21st November.
Over one hundred and ninety businessmen and women from across the Swansea Bay region enjoyed the traditional celebration of the uncorking of the first Beaujolais Nouveau wine at the Marriott Hotel, Swansea; the penultimate networking event of 2019 hosted by Swansea Bay Business Club.
Welsh comic Mike Bubbins, best known for playing the part of Wyn in the BBC Wales comedy series, Tourist Trap, and for co-starring in BBC’s The Unexplainers, had laughter on tap and ensured that the event was one to remember.
Acting President of Swansea Bay Business Club, Alan Brayley, commented: “It was fantastic to host another sold out celebration event for Beaujolais Day this year and we were delighted to see so many of our members enjoying themselves and to see guests taking advantage of the excellent networking opportunities with members of the business community from across the Swansea Bay region.
“Beaujolais Day is always one of our biggest and most lively events of the year, and this year was no different as guests enjoyed wonderful food, superb entertainment and of course the obligatory bottles of red.”
Beaujolais Day is one of the busiest days of the year in Swansea and is a key calendar date for businesses across the Swansea Bay region, having a large impact on the local economy as a whole.
Alan added: “Whilst everyone in Swansea loves getting in to the Beaujolais Day spirit, the importance of the level of investment it brings in every year to the local economy and our members cannot be understated. As a business club, we recognise it is an extremely busy day for hospitality, clothing, and beauty businesses across the city and has a beneficial knock on effect across the region.”
