Trio of former Lambert Smith Hampton directors launch new retail & leisure consultancy

L-R: Richard Lyons, Tim Letts, Jonathan Thompson (Lyons Thompson Letts Property Consultants)

Three former directors from Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) have joined forces to launch a brand-new retail and leisure property consultancy in Manchester.

Richard Lyons, Jonathan Thompson and Tim Letts open the doors to new agency Lyons Thompson Letts Property Consultants (LTL) this week, having taken space at Worklife in central Manchester.

Formerly of Tushingham Moore, the trio has worked together for the past 15 years, more recently at LSH in Spinningfields. The breakaway from LSH sees the team forming a niche retail and leisure consultancy that will service clients across the north.

Letts said: “In today’s challenging landscape, experience is more valuable than ever. That’s why we’re proud to be able to offer our current and future clients a safe, dedicated and knowledgeable pair of hands with the launch of LTL.

“We will continue to work with valued clients both regionally and nationally and will be tailoring our approach to ensure it is market-driven and alive to new trends, especially as shopping habits and placemaking requirements are shifting rapidly in the current market-place.”

“As well as advising traditional property investors, we will be broadening our client base to include more of the occupational sector such as bars, restaurants and gym operators, which will enable us to curate exciting tenant mixes for high streets and shopping centres.

“Our aim is to build real communities in these places, offering attractive locations which people will want to visit and stay in.”

LTL’s clients include Intu, DTZ Investors, Hermes, Genr8, Augur Group, Columbia Threadneedle, Bruntwood, Capital & Regional, Queensbury, Patrizia, Scarborough, Starbucks and Signet. The team will be Manchester-based but servicing clients nationally, with a focus on the north.

Letts continued: “There is huge opportunity in the market at the moment for the right product. We look forward to continuing our working relationships with our existing clients and welcome the opportunity to act for new clients in the future.”

“We will be continuing our links with regional councils, who we’ve done some fantastic work with in the past. These relationships, as well as our close bonds with our current clients, will allow us to organically grow and make our mark – it’s certainly an exciting time and we can’t wait for this new challenge.”
