Newly refurbished Manchester office space attracts new occupier

Specialist recruitment agency, NES Global Talent has taken the entire sixth floor of the newly refurbished 10 Chapel Walks in Manchester city centre.

The company, which has a Head office in Altrincham, specialises in finding talent in the oil & gas, power and renewables, life sciences, chemical and mining sectors. They have now expanded their reach in to Manchester city centre, taking 7,008 sq ft of office space on a 10-year lease. CBRE acted on their behalf.

Cushman & Wakefield agreed the deal on behalf of Artmax Properties which acquired the property in September 2018. A £1 million refurbishment of office building was completed in September this year to include new showers and bike store in basement, a new reception area and re-modelled workspace. The deal to NES Global Talent was agreed whilst the refurbishment works were being completed.

10 Chapel Walks comprises 55,138 sq ft of office space and is located on Cross Street with frontages to Cheapside and Chapel Walks, in the heart of Manchester’s Central Business District. Other occupiers include Ward Hadaway, Workman and Aviva.

Toby Nield, Associate in Cushman & Wakefield’s office agency team, said: “Securing a letting before the refurbishment completes is a superb result and testament to the exciting plans for 10 Chapel Walks. The repositioning of the building has caught the imagination of occupiers and I am confident this will be the first new letting of many.

“The fundamentals of the building are all in place – good location, large reception, open floors. The quality of the refurbishment has given the building a completely new look and feel which sets it apart from the competition.”
