Exxell expands

Leading specialist rail and engineering recruitment company Exxell, who are part of the Acorn Group, has announced the appointment of staff at both its Southampton and London branches.

The Southampton branch, which opened in April, sees the appointment of Richard Parker as Resourcer. Richard, 27, who lives in Portsmouth, has worked in the safety critical track sector for over 8 years, including one year for Exxell.  Richard has been brought in to work alongside Rail Safety Critical Manager Richard Anderson to help support Exxell’s clients’ increasing requirements. Richard is looking forward to utilising his excellent knowledge of the rail industry in his new position.

In Exxell’s London branch James Jenkinson has been appointed Recruitment Consultant to oversee clients such as Network Rail, Imtech Aqua and ADM Pura. James, 23 from Essex, previously worked as a Trainee Consultant for Exxell’s engineering division and as a Junior Engineer before that.

Exxell Director Nigel Rees said of the move: “It is very exciting to see the Southampton branch expanding so quickly after only relocating there four months ago. Across the board we have experienced increasing demand for recruitment from employers and our expanding workforce reflects this upturn.”
