NG expands trainee programme with new emerging talent

Ellis Cullen, NG Chartered Surveyors

Commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors have reinforced their commitment to nurturing future talent in the industry after welcoming a new Trainee Surveyor.

Ellis Cullen joins the Nottingham-based company as she prepares to embark on a Level 6 Chartered Surveyor BSc (Hons) Real Estate Degree Apprenticeship whilst working at NG to gain hands-on experience in the commercial property industry. Ellis will be simultaneously studying for her degree with the aim of becoming a Chartered Surveyor.

Ellis said: “I got in touch with NG about gaining work experience to further understand surveying to see if it was a path within property I would be interested in after university.

“NG are a respected forward thinking company and made me feel welcome from the off. I feel I am able to learn quickly and understand surveying in a realistic context by gaining real life experience.

“I am here for at least five years – in which time I will have completed my degree and gained valuable experience with the help of a fantastic team at NG.

“My ambition is to continue to pursue a career in surveying and property with the ambition to own multiple properties of my own to help expand my property folder.

Richard Sutton, managing director of NG Chartered Surveyors, said: “NG have always championed young talent trying to get into the commercial property market. Our trainee programme has been incredibly popular and helps us not only get the first pick on emerging talent within the industry, but also reinforces out commitment to creating a vibrant, diverse workforce.

“We’ve always said that if you’re good enough, you’re old enough. We’re confident Ellis will thrive during her time with us, and we will fully support her ambitions in the world of commercial property.”

Ellis follows in the footsteps of Charlotte Steggles who recently returned to her studies at Nottingham Trent University after a successful year with NG. Charlotte will return to the company in a full-time role in 2020.
