£9million warehouse and industrial scheme gets the green light at Core 42, Tamworth

Planning permission has been granted to develop three new high specification industrial units totalling 65,000 sqft at Core 42 Tamworth Business Park, near junction 10 M42.

The construction of building sizes of 30,000 sqft, 20,000 sqft, 14,500 sqft will begin soon and are they are expected to be available for occupation in summer 2020.

Edward Hodgetts, Development Director at Hodgetts Estates said “Our approach is always to work closely with stakeholders to ensure that planning delivers outstanding places for people to work. We’re excited to be bringing forward this high specification scheme, with its excellent connectivity to the A5 and Junction 10 M42.”

Richard James-Moore of JLL, agent for the scheme said, “These smaller units are coming forward at a fortuitous time with demand for new high grade buildings at the local and regional level heavily outstripping supply. We expect strong interest from both traditional warehouse occupiers and trade occupiers especially given their frontage and direct access onto the A5.”

To date, Hodgetts Estates have constructed and let over 260,000 sqft at the prime logistics location Core 42 Tamworth. Local occupiers to the area now include OCADO, Volkswagen, Sainsbury’s, TNT and UPS.

Interested occupiers should contact agents Richard James-Moore or Carl Durrant at JLL and Robert Watts or Robert Rae at Avison Young.
