Congratulating Boris Johnson as he becomes Prime Minister, Heather Myers, CEO of the South Wales Chamber of Commerce said:
“The message to Boris Johnson from the Welsh business community couldn’t be simpler: the time for campaigning is over – we now need you to get down to business.
“Welsh companies need to know, in concrete terms, what your government will do to avoid a messy, disorderly Brexit on 31 October which would bring disruption to businesses which trade around the world.
“We also need clarity regarding the proposed UK Shared Prosperity Fund; how will it work and how will it focus on bringing economic growth to communities in Wales.
“The South Wales Chamber of Commerce looks forward to working with the new Prime Minister to deliver for Welsh businesses, and to hold the new government to account when needed.”
