New businesses take off at Airfield Road

Part of an industrial estate in Dorset has three new occupiers following a hat-trick of deals by property consultancy Vail Williams LLP.

The agency was appointed by Curtiss-Wright Corporation to sell vacant industrial buildings it owned at Airfield Road, Christchurch, having relocated to Aviation Park West, Bournemouth Airport.

All three deals – sold on long leases – were conducted by Will Elgeti, a surveyor at the Solent offices of Vail Williams’ transactional team, within nine months.

In the latest deal, BizSpace, the UK’s largest provider of flexible workspace with offices and workshops across Britain, acquired two detached offices.

Building 2-8, totalling 38,739 sq ft, had a guide price of £1.9m.

An 18,789 sq ft warehouse at Building 1, on the market for £1.25m, was sold to New Forest Classic Cars last December.

As previously reported, GodFirst Church bought a 24,303 sq ft industrial unit last summer as a place of worship; the 24,303 sq ft workspace had a quoting price of £1.5m.

All of the properties were previously owned and occupied by Curtiss-Wright Corporation, a global innovative company which delivers highly engineered, critical function products and services to the commercial, industrial, defence and energy markets.

Will said: “With the last tranche of Curtiss-Wright Corporation property at Airport Road sold to BizSpace, a total of three deals have been successfully completed within a year by Vail Williams for the vendor. We wish BizSpace, New Forest Classic Cars and GodFirst Church every future success.”
