A Midlands property consultancy has added new blood to aid the company’s growth.

Jon Blood has joined Wareing & Company, based on Hamilton Terrace in Leamington, as a Director from ehB Reeves where he spent four years as a surveyor after joining from Birmingham based GVA – now known as Avison Young.

His new role will see him working under the stewardship of the firm’s founder, Bill Wareing, who has more than 40 years of commercial property experience.

Blood will be working on a range of freehold and leasehold property instructions, as well as handling property investments, rent reviews and lease renewals.

Speaking on his appointment, the 30-year-old revealed his excitement at joining a firm at the heart of the region’s commercial property landscape.

“This is a great opportunity for me to help the firm to capitalise on the busy business scene in Coventry and Warwickshire,” said Blood.

“Bill is also one of the most respected figures in the property industry, so the opportunity to be mentored by one of the best was too good to turn down.

“The business has ambitious plans to grow its caseload over the coming months despite the political uncertainty surrounding Brexit.

“Industrial units, office space and retail spaces are all areas we are seeing pick up – particularly in desirable towns such as Leamington, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon.

“Coventry also has City of Culture on the horizon and is becoming an increasingly appealing destination to be in – so there is a good buzz about the region as a whole.”

Wareing & Company was established by Bill Wareing in 2001 and provides commercial property services throughout the Midlands to a range of property developers, private property owners and property investors.

Bill Wareing added: “Jonathan is one of the region’s best up-and-coming talents and is the future of the firm, and I’m pleased to welcome him on board.

“He is hungry to learn and is passionate about the industry – two traits that will undoubtedly help us in our mission to ramp up inward investment into the region’s commercial property landscape.”
