Two prominent Sheffield business parks almost fully let following series of lettings

Following a series of lettings totaling 87,879 sq ft at two Sheffield business parks owned by Mountcity Investments, the Industrial Agency teams at CBRE Leeds and Knight Frank Sheffield have announced that both parks are now fully occupied, with the exception of one unit.

The final letting at the 16-acre Provincial Park on Nether Lane in Ecclesfield is now fully occupied following the letting of the 46,873 sq. ft. Unit 4 on a 10-year term to Hot House Partnership, specialists in the development, manufacture and distribution of personal care products and beauty brands such as St Moritz and Shades London.

At the established Thorncliffe Business Park at Newton Chambers Road in north Sheffield, 36,699 sq. ft. has been let to AGTC Ltd on a five-year term and the 4,703 sq. ft. Unit 27 has been leased by RWC Clarke Excavations Ltd on a three-year term. Unit 6, comprising 5,718 sq ft is currently under offer, with the new tenant moving in once the existing tenant vacates at the end of the month.

Unit 5 is the last available industrial unit at the established business park, which is home to a number of well-known occupiers including Balfour Beatty and B Braun. The high quality unit offers fitted offices ready for immediate occupation.

Both parks are asset managed by Buccleuch Property Investment Managers who have liaised closely with the agency teams to secure the lettings and focus on keeping voids within the portfolio to a minimum.

Sophie Angus, Senior Surveyor for CBRE’s Industrial Agency team in Leeds, said;

“We are delighted to have acted jointly with Knight Frank to secure a series of lettings at two of the most popular and prominent business parks in Sheffield, resulting in the full occupation of Provincial Park and leaving Thorncliffe Business Park with only one small unit remaining. The recent letting success demonstrates the continuing high demand for industrial property within the South Yorkshire region. The added benefits for occupiers on site at Thorncliffe, including a café, early year’s day nursery and gym also support the key work life balance and wellbeing agenda sought after by tenants.”

Rebecca Schofield from Knight Frank added:

“Thorncliffe has become one of the biggest and most successful single owned, mixed use business parks in Yorkshire occupying an enviable position just six miles north of Sheffield city centre, and a similar distance from Barnsley and Rotherham. But what elevates it from other business parks is its facilities. Feedback from current tenants confirm their employees are very satisfied here. It’s more than just a business park; it has excellent on-site amenities which make a real difference.”

Paul Jarvis from Buccleuch said:

“The deals demonstrate the superb locations of these business parks and we are delighted that they have been completed.”
