Edgars, the Oxfordshire-based planning consultancy, has expanded its business and will open an Oxford city centre office having appointed a new office head.
Headquartered in Witney, Edgars has operated for more than 12 years across the county and UK. Today its 12-strong team advises on development planning to an array of clients including high net worth individuals, independent schools, colleges and developers.
Arron Twamley has joined as an associate director and head of Oxford office. With more than 20 years’ experience providing planning advice to both the public and private sectors, Arron was previously at Peter Brett Associates (now known as Stantec) for four years where he was a senior associate. He also worked for Savills in Oxford for more than 12 years.
Arron has vast experience of planning and property related projects for a variety of clients including landowners, national developers, educational bodies, investors, business owners, entrepreneurs and public agencies. He has comprehensive knowledge of the UK planning system including development promotion, development management as well as national and local planning policy and the planning appeal system. He is also experienced at identifying development sites for clients through the preparation of strategic land searches.
The new Edgars’ Oxford city centre office has been identified and will be announced imminently.

Arron will provide a range of planning and development services including the preparation of planning and development strategies, site appraisals, planning policy reviews, stakeholder and public engagement events, planning applications and appeals including written representations, hearings and inquiries, as well as representation at examinations.
The news follows Edgars’ recent success at the Oxfordshire Property Awards 2019 where it scooped the two top awards: Property Advisor of the Year and Jayne Norris was voted as Best Property Leader of the Year.
