Landmark Chandlers Ford building welcomes new occupier

Oakmount House, a landmark building in the heart of Chandlers Ford, has welcomed Collective Purchasing Ltd as a new tenant with the company relocating from Eastleigh and taking a new lease of the 2nd floor office accommodation.

Over the last two decades Collective Purchasing has helped hundreds of businesses, particularly in the care home sector, to establish and improve their purchasing operations. Collective Purchasing has unique relationships with dozens of local, regional and national suppliers of foodstuffs, consumables and capital goods. Its business model offers a buying power of millions to its customers and as a result provides the opportunity to save money.

As a result of the purchase by Eastleigh Borough Council of their previous building for its own use, Goadsby were contacted by Collective Purchasing to find alternative business premises nearby.

After a comprehensive search Oakmount House was chosen. Mike Jehan, Managing Director commented, “Oakmount House offered us excellent office space, in an accessible location with good facilities nearby.  Access to good parking for staff and visitors was a key priority.”

Andrew Hodgkinson from Goadsby added, “The office sector along the South Coast is challenging but where a property has the right fundamental ingredients of good quality specification, accessible location and access to good parking there is usually occupier demand. Oakmount House had been refurbished and had air-conditioning installed as part of the deal with Collective Purchasing. Chandlers Ford is very accessible from the M3 motorway and there is plentiful parking within the village centre, including long stay parking to the rear of Waitrose. These were attractions that benefited Collective Purchasing and our client is delighted to welcome them as a new tenant.”

Collective Purchasing has taken a new 5 year full repairing and insuring lease at a headline rent equating to £12 per square foot.
