Development of 23 business units on schedule

A multi-million pound speculative development of 23 business units – the first of its kind in Bedford for more than 20 years – is on course to be completed by the end of the summer, leading commercial property consultancy Kirkby Diamond has announced.

Construction of the mix of light industrial and warehouse units, available for sale or lease, is making excellent progress and the steel framework has been erected at the Arkwright Road site in Bedford. Practical completion is expected in September.

Andrew Clarke, head of commercial agency at Kirkby Diamond in Bedford, who has been appointed to market the units, said: “It’s fantastic to see such great progress being made by the construction contractors at Glenmore Business Park.

“This is a really exciting development by Glenmore Group, which has delivered very successful, high quality business parks and industrial/warehouse developments across the south of the country, including developments in Wiltshire, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Oxfordshire and Kent. They have a highly successful formula and Glenmore Business Park, located within easy reach of the M1 motorway, will be very popular addition to the commercial market.”

Andrew added: “It’s the kind of development that businesses across Bedfordshire have been deprived of for far too long. They are the first units of their size to be made available in Bedford since the early 90s and I am sure they will be in high demand.”

Units range in size from 1,104 sq ft to 1,550 sq ft and can be combined to create larger units. Each unit will have a first floor capable of being used as offices, sectional roller shutter loading doors, six-metre eaves height, and allocated parking spaces.

The Glenmore Group is a London-based investment and development company. Since the company was founded in 1994 it has combined its energy and experience to create imaginative new ways of creating business space.
