Paragon hires former Welsh rugby international Adrian Davies as client care director

Independent building and project consultancy Paragon has further enhanced its client service offering with the hire of a former Welsh rugby international as client care director.

Adrian Davies joins the consultancy with 14 years’ experience in business development, most recently as one of the founding directors of business development agency Clear Partners. He is also a chartered surveyor, having qualified in 1993 at Chesterton International, and a Cambridge University alumnus.

Adrian represented Wales at two rugby world cups, in 1991 and 1995, winning nine caps as fly-half whilst playing at Neath RFC and Cardiff RFC. He became one of the first professional rugby players when he joined Richmond FC in 1996. Following retirement through injury, he became director of rugby and board director at London Welsh RFC for five years.

As client care director, Adrian will be responsible for communicating Paragon’s expansive range of services and specialisms to both clients and employees. Paragon’s clients include Allied London, Legal & General Investment Management and Sports and Leisure Management.

Commenting on his appointment, Adrian Davies said: “Paragon is growing rapidly and has bold yet realistic ambitions. The business is full of passionate people with a distinctive ethos and I’m delighted to contribute to the next phase of its growth based on greater in-depth client care. Fundamental to its continued success will be effectively establishing a framework to bring together all its component parts, which is an extremely exciting challenge to be part of.”

Paragon is one of the largest independent consultancies in the UK with a turnover of £22m and offices in London, Esher, Manchester, Edinburgh and Bristol. Founded in 2009, the consultancy is currently celebrating its tenth year.

Welcoming Adrian to the company, Paragon joint managing director, John Munday, said: “Adrian brings a wealth of experience in business development and teamwork and has a proven track record in building strong relationships. He is very well-connected in the industry and a great cultural fit for our team.

“Paragon has a greater depth of skills, services and specialisms than ever before, which enables us to advise clients on all areas of building and project services. Adrian’s contribution will be vital for communicating this enhanced and distinct offering to new and existing clients.”
