Alder King markets 9.7 acre redevelopment site at Wroughton

Property consultants Alder King have been instructed to market the freehold of a 9.7 acre (3.96 hectare) former NHS site located at Brimble Hill, Wroughton.

The site at Brimble Hill was built in 1942 to accommodate medical staff serving in the former Royal Alexandra Hospital in Wroughton.

Oak House, owned by Swindon Primary Care Trust, has most recently been used as a residential care home.  The use of Ash House, owned by Great Western Hospital Foundation Trust, ceased in 2002.

Alison Williams, senior surveyor at Alder King’s Swindon office, says: “The site has great potential for redevelopment for a number of institutional type uses.  We anticipate interest from operators of nursing homes, residential care homes, residential schools and training centres.”
