Development ends long wait for business units

A multi-million pound speculative development of 23 business units is underway in Bedfordshire, leading commercial property consultancy Kirkby Diamond has announced.

Construction of the mix of light industrial and warehouse units, which are available for sale or lease, is making good progress at the site at Arkwright Road, off Cambridge Road, in Bedford. Practical completion is expected in September.

Andrew Clarke, head of commercial agency at Kirkby Diamond in Bedford, who has been appointed to market the units, said: “This is a really exciting development by Glenmore Group, a company which has delivered very successful, high quality business parks and industrial/warehouse developments across the country.

“They have a highly successful formula and Glenmore Business Park will be an extremely popular addition to the commercial market.

“It will deliver 23 new units for sale or for lease in a location which is within easy reach of the M1. It’s the kind of development that businesses across Bedfordshire have been deprived of for far too long. They are the first units of their size to be made available in Bedford since the early 90s and I am sure they will be in high demand.”

Units range in size from 1,104 sq ft to 1,550 sq ft and can be combined to create larger units. Each unit will have a first floor capable of being used as offices, sectional roller shutter loading doors, six-metre eaves height, and allocated parking spaces.

The Glenmore Group is a London-based investment and development company. Since the company was founded in 1994 it has combined its energy and experience to create imaginative new ways of creating business space. It specialises in the procurement of land suitable for industrial development.

Glenmore has built numerous business parks and industrial estates throughout Southern England and the Home Counties, including developments in Wiltshire, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Oxfordshire and Kent.
