Simons Developments acquires site in West Bridgford for £60million mixed use scheme

Simons Developments has acquired an 11-acre site in West Bridgford, Nottingham from Sainsbury’s and has submitted plans for a£60 million (approximately), 170,000 sq ft mixed-use development.

Simons’ proposals incorporate a 22,000 sq ft food store to be pre-let to Lidl, 205 residential units, a 63-bed retirement block, other retail units, a family pub and drive-thru coffee shop. Subject to planning, Simons hopes to begin construction this Autumn with completion of the scheme phased over an 18-month period.

West Bridgford is one of Nottingham’s most sought-after neighbourhoods and the site is located on Wilford Lane, within easy reach of Nottingham city centre.

Our scheme will bring significant benefits, including jobs, new homes, shopping and leisure facilities. The site acquisition means we can now take these exciting plans forward and subject to planning, get spades in the ground later this year.”
