CBRE hires new creative and place director with appointment of John McHugh

CBRE has appointed John McHugh in a new role as Director of Customer Experience & Placemaking within its Property Management team. Based in the Manchester office, John will lead CBRE’s regional customer experience and placemaking offer delivering tailored services to both clients and occupiers.

John’s role will provide clients with a range of services including research, event curation, development and planning, all with a focus on attraction, engagement and retention of occupiers, supported by CBRE’s agency and professional service lines.

John has over 13 years’ experience in a variety of marketing and brand roles including, Bruntwood and most recently as Head of Strategic & Commercial Marketing within the property division of MAG (Manchester Airports Group), which involved leading the marketing strategy and placemaking activation for the flagship £1billion Airport City Manchester Joint Venture.

CBRE manage over 2 million square feet of mixed use and business park instructions in the North West, with a remit to provide placemaking, marketing and place activation to key schemes, including First Street, Towers Business Park, Exchange Quay and the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool.
