DM Hall, one of Scotland’s leading independent firms of chartered surveyors, has appointed two new partners, Steven Buist and Amanda Cameron with immediate effect. Jonathan Hunter, who will now run the firm’s Musselburgh office, has been promoted to Director.

Steven who has been promoted to Partner from Director, joined DM Hall in 1999 and currently runs the firm’s Kirkcaldy office. He specialises in the residential property market and has extensive experience of the Fife property scene.

Amanda, a DM Hall Director and Head of Property Services since 2011, is based in the firm’s Dunfermline office. She joined DM Hall in 2002 having gained extensive experience in the sales and corporate sectors.

She said: “I am very pleased to have been invited to join the DM Hall Partnership. It is, in many respects, the culmination of my career ambition and I hope to bring an additional female perspective to a profession which continues to be male-dominated.”

Jonathan, who holds a master’s degree in Real Estate Management from the University of the West of England, has experienced a rapid rise in the firm which he joined as a surveyor based in the Livingston office in 2014, becoming a senior surveyor in Musselburgh in 2016. He was appointed Associate in September 2018.

Eric Curran, managing partner of DM Hall, said: “these promotions reinforce an already formidable professional team and we believe demonstrates our consistent determination to recognise, reward and celebrate individual talent and expertise. We welcome Amanda and Steven to the partnership and warmly congratulate Jonathan on his well-deserved promotion.”
