Building on success: Cooke & Arkwright makes three promotions following strong growth in 2018

Independent property agent Cooke & Arkwright has promoted three of its employees to Associate and Associate Director following a strong year of growth for the company.

The promotions include Ryan Pratt in the Retail & Leisure department, who has been promoted to Associate Director, and George Watts and Rhys Davies in the Building Surveying department, who have been promoted to the position of Associate.

Ryan, who has been with the award-winning firm for 11 years, provides specialist rent review, lease renewal, lease regearing and Expert Witness advice for landlords and local and national retailers on all types of retail & leisure properties covering high streets, shopping centres and out of town properties.

George and Rhys in Building Surveying, who have collectively been with the Cardiff-based firm for seven years, will be tasked with building on the success Cooke & Arkwright has had in developing relationships with public sector clients including Welsh Water, Natural Resources Wales, the Welsh Government and the NHS.

Both building surveyors will be assisting with all aspects of commercial building surveying matters, providing pre-acquisition building condition surveys, dilapidations, maintenance and refurbishment surveys, fire insurance valuations, defects analysis and CAD design.

Andrew Gardner, Managing Director at Cooke & Arkwright said: “Ryan, Rhys and George have all demonstrated the strong technical competence and high professional standards we value at Cooke & Arkwright.

“By developing bright talent like Ryan, Rhys and George, we can continue being a forward-thinking and dynamic company that is always looking for ways to add value to our clients.

“2018 has been a successful year and these new promotions come at an important time for us as we continue to grow the business and build our relationships with new and existing private sector clients, as well as public sector clients including the Welsh Government, NHS and publicly owned utility companies.

“We feel it is important to acknowledge the development and progress of our employees, who we know will help take Cooke & Arkwright forward and continue to develop our offering.”

Ryan Pratt said: “Since joining Cooke & Arkwright in 2007, I have been able to work and learn from a number of highly talented commercial property specialists. It’s a great team and I’m thrilled that my hard work and dedication has been recognised by this promotion.”
