Seventh heaven for Myddelton & Major

Property consultancy Myddelton & Major has won a top award for the seventh year in succession.

The Salisbury-based firm covering the central southern region has once again won the title of Most Active Agency in Wiltshire.

Deals covering over 715,000 sq ft of commercial and in-excess of 150 transactions helped Myddelton & Major retain the title yet again.

The prestigious award came from Estates Gazette, the respected national online and weekly publication covering the whole of the UK commercial property industry.

The 2018 EGi success was based on the number of retail, office and industrial deals completed across the county during the past year.

Successful deals have included the fully sold first phase and growing second phase of the Bluestone Centre, the Beacon Centre and land at Solstice Park, all at Amesbury, Commerce Park at Frome, Chilmark Business Centre, West Wilts Trading Estate at Westbury, Dean Hill Park on the Hampshire border and Minton Distribution Park at Amesbury.

There were also many deals in the Myddelton & Major heartland, including Salisbury’s Churchfields Industrial Estate and Harnham Trading Estate, Barnack Business Centre and Boathouse Meadows, Salisbury, Northacre Industrial Park at Westbury, Chaldicott Barns at Semley, the Portway Centre and Old Sarum Park at Old Sarum and Warner House and Cross Keys House in Salisbury.

Despite a difficult start to the year following the poisoning incidents in Salisbury city centre, business has picked up with a significant numbers of retail lettings, including The Maltings, Fisherton Street, High Street, Blue Boar Row, Ox Row and New Canal.

The award is for the most of the transactions were in Wiltshire, around Salisbury/Amesbury, but Myddelton & Major also acted on commercial properties in in Dorset, across Somerset and in West Hampshire.
