Hair and beauty specialist takes second unit at new Southampton business park

Leading professional hair and beauty supplier Sally Salon Services has become the second company to move into a new business park at Millbrook.

The company, which supplies quality salon-ready products for the trade, has taken on a 2,580 sq ft unit at Manor House Business Park, Third Avenue, fronting on to the main western approach to Southampton City Centre.

The successful letting, secured by Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), joint agent for the scheme with Chesters Commercial, follows leading tile manufacturer Original Style taking on an 8,000sq ft showroom and trade counter at the business park. The high-quality, modern units have been built on the site of the former Truvox building at Third Avenue by developer Maytrees Ltd.

One of the four remaining units is currently under offer, while three further brand-new units, varying between 2,601sq ft and 3,927 sq ft, are attracting significant interest from potential occupiers.

Adrian Whitfield, Director, Industrial and Logistics at LSH’s South Coast offices, said: “This new business park has one of the best locations on the South Coast in terms of accessibility and that has been reflected by high level of interest we have seen from businesses. Occupiers are looking for modern accommodation near to the M27 corridor and Manor House Business Park matches that brief perfectly.

“We are delighted to welcome Sally Salon Services to Millbrook and are sure the company will go from strength to strength at this great location.”

Ashley Miller, of Marchmont Chartered Surveyors, which acted for Sally Salon Services, said: “We were looking for a prime location to complement our existing trade-only counters in Southampton City Centre, Portsmouth, Fareham and Winchester.

“Finding the right property for our expansion strategy was vital and we are delighted that the team at Lambert Smith Hampton were able to facilitate this. Hair and beauty professionals in the Southampton area and wider region will benefit from the accessibility of a trade counter so close to the M27.”

The remaining units at Millbrook have full planning permission for business use, industrial, storage and distribution.
