Property consultancy, Vail Williams LLP, takes one step closer to national recognition as Employer of the Year, following south region Chamber awards win.

One of the largest independent providers of commercial and residential property advice in the UK, Vail Williams, was crowned regional Employer of the Year at the Thames Valley Chamber Business awards earlier this year (June).

More recently it was announced that the firm would be amongst six regional winners in the south to go forward to the national Chamber Awards finals which will take place in London at the end of November.

Celebrating their 15th year, the Chamber Business Awards recognise the key role that local businesses play in driving the economy.

Speaking of the achievement, Charlie Nicholson, Partner at Vail Williams, commented: “We’re delighted to have been recognised in this way and to find ourselves shortlisted alongside so many fantastic businesses in London next month.”

“We understand the importance of the role we play in the communities in which we operate and developed a set of core values to reflect not only that, but our commitment to our clients and our people too.

“Our people are what shape us and it’s vitally important that we support them to ensure a happy, productive workforce who want to achieve great things – both for the business, and themselves,” concluded Mr Nicholson.

Paul Britton, CEO at the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce commented: “Each company was a proud winner at our own regional awards recently, showcasing their high level of work, determination and commitment to offering outstanding services to the wider business community, and is now being celebrated at a national level against major organisations from the across the UK.”

Francis Martin, President of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) said: “Businesses are the engines of the UK economy – creating opportunities and prosperity in our towns, cities and counties. Even in these turbulent times, they continue to show their adaptability, resilience and strength.

“Every year our judges are impressed by the calibre of entries, and this year was no different. All our finalists should be proud to reach this stage given the stiff competition among our diverse and enterprising pool of applicants.

“The Chamber Business Awards are the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate our business communities’ achievements, to take stock of the great performances of UK businesses over the past year, and to encourage and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.”

The winners from the Thames Valley regional heats who will compete at the final include:

  • Vail Williams LLP have won the Employer of the Year award (Reading)
  • eLearning Marketplace have won the Best Use of Technology award (West Berkshire)
