Worcester office lets show popularity of city fringes

Worcestershire commercial property consultancy and Chartered Surveyors GJS Dillon has let two office suites on the fringe of Worcester city centre, as the area becomes more sought after by occupiers.

Acting on behalf of two private landlords, Mike Pritchard, commercial negotiator at GJS Dillon, let office suites of 700 sq ft and 878 sq ft respectively, at 30 Sansome Walk, Worcester, WR1 1LX and 60 Barbourne Road, Worcester, WR1 1JA.

The National League U19 Alliance, formerly the Football Conference Youth Alliance, has taken the first floor office space at 30 Sansome Walk, on a new lease at a quoting rent of £7,500 per annum, while Bloomsbury KG Ltd, which supplies personal and social care and support for older and disabled people, has taken the first floor at 60 Barbourne Road, on a new lease at a quoting rent of £9,000.

Mr Pritchard says: “With office vacancy rates of only 6.5% in the city, accommodation on the fringes of Worcester city centre is increasingly sought after, as occupiers look for a convenient, accessible, value for money locations, typically in older converted buildings. This is likely to remain the case with little new office space due to come to the market and rents continuing to rise.”
