Commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors have brokered a deal to let a 12,735 sq ft on the Swingbridge Trading Estate in Loughborough to Event Engineering.

Richard Sutton, director at NG, secured the deal at Unit 13/14 on Kernan Drive for the estate’s new owners Craigard Ltd having acted for the former owners Catalyst Capital prior to the estate’s recent sale.

Richard said: “Event Engineering were one of a number of parties interested in the unit previously occupied by Vertigo Interiors. They are a local company with a bright future ahead of them so we were pleased to be able to broker a deal so quickly. I’ts also nice to get such a positive result for the new owners which returns the estate to 100% occupancy.”

“We’ve only recently acquired Swingbridge Industrial Estate, so we’re delighted with this letting which takes the buildings to full capacity,” said David Foster of Craigard. “As we’d identified, the site has strong fundamentals, and there continues to be opportunity for growth, making it the ideal choice for us. The added benefit of a local, growing business in residence tops it off nicely for us and the syndication of investors supporting this development.”

Alex Reid of Mather Jamie was joint agent on the project.

The unit is situated on the successful Swingbridge Industrial Estate, Kernan Drive, accessed off Belton Road West within the Bishop Meadow Industrial Area north of Loughborough town centre.

Belton Road West links to the A6 Derby Road, which in turn leads to Loughborough town centre and Junction 24 of the M1. Neighbouring occupiers on the Estate include Howdens Joinery, Nusing Manufacturing UK Limited, Sheffield Insulation and BI Ltd.
