Full steam ahead in move on lease at Station Works for Cambridge tech company

Barker Storey Matthews has acted for Eddyfi Technologies in the leasehold acquisition of new premises which sees the company move from Granta Park to the Station Works in nearby Linton, Cambridge.

The Station Works is a recently re-furbished two storey 7,783 sq ft (723 sq m) office/light industrial unit on the location of the original sidings when the village of Linton had its own railway station.

The Station Works was a joint instruction by Juniper Real Estate and Cheffins who acted on behalf of the landlord. Marketing emphasised the character of the building as well as the convenience of its location on the South Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border served by the A1307 and nearby onward road links to the A11/M11 interchange with Stansted to the south and Cambridge city to the north.

Ben Green of Barker Storey Matthews’ Cambridge office confirms that location was a key requirement in Eddyfi Technologies’ property briefing but adds, “All agents acknowledge the ongoing shortage of commercial space, especially to the south of the city.

“We were pleased to have identified and acquired such a suitable property for our client not too far away from its former base at Granta Park.”

Paul Jackson, Manager, Eddyfi Technologies said, “We feel very lucky to have found such an ideal property in reasonable proximity to our previous location and we appreciate the efforts of Barker Storey Matthews in carrying out a comprehensive search and then securing this property.”
