Law firm Lodders has moved into new offices in one of Cheltenham’s most prominent business addresses.

The firm is now the sole occupant of Glensanda House at Number 1 Montpellier Parade, almost doubling the office space available for its Cheltenham practice and growing team.

Lodders has moved to the 5,500 square foot Georgian detached office building from Imperial Square where it has been based since launching its Cheltenham operation in 2013, in response to increased demand for its corporate, property and private client legal services and its future expansion plans.

The firm’s Cheltenham team completed their move to Glensanda House this week following an extensive 12-week refurbishment programme. This included the installation of comprehensive communications and IT systems, and redesign and configuring of internal spaces to create a suite of individual, open plan offices and meeting rooms.

According to Lodders’ partners Jessica Beddows and Nick Rowe, joint heads of the Cheltenham practice, the new office is not only a major milestone for the firm’s operation in the town, but also a significant statement of intent:

“Our move to Glensanda House provides Lodders with the much-needed additional space for our team of lawyers, support staff, and the rapidly growing portfolio of both personal and corporate clients in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds and the wider South West,” they said.

“The move follows five years of strong growth for our dedicated Cheltenham team, with businesses and individuals across the region choosing Lodders for our blend of legal excellence and partner-led service.

“It is also a further statement of intent of Lodders’ commitment to Cheltenham, which reaffirms the importance of this operation to the firm’s wider vision to maintain its place as one of the premier law firms in the region.”

Lodders is to celebrate its move to Glensanda House with a drinks reception for clients and contacts.

The firm has already launched the next phase in its growth and recruitment strategy, as Nick, who is head of the Employment law team, explains:

“Demand for our top-ranking employment law services has soared. We recently recruited Jennifer Linford as Solicitor-Advocate in order to help the existing members of the team to service our rapidly growing client base.”

Jessica adds: “We are also looking to recruit senior corporate and family lawyers to our Cheltenham team, as part of our strategy to deliver best in breed legal specialists across every legal specialism the local market demands.”

Lodders’ managing partner Paul Mourton, who led the Cheltenham practice since its launch, adds: “We had simply outgrown the Imperial Square offices, with the team growing more than five-fold in the five years since we launched in the town.

“We are now in offices in a prominent position in the heart of one Cheltenham’s most prestigious districts, which will accommodate our sustained growth into its next phase, provide us with the space and facilities we need to maintain the high level of service provided to all our clients, and reaffirm our commitment to Cheltenham and to Lodders’ position as a premiere brand in the region.”
