Indigo makes key Birmingham appointment and strengthens other key offices

Leading UK planning consultancy, Indigo Planning, has made a key appointment at its Birmingham office and key promotions within its Leeds and London teams.

Rebecca Fieldhouse has been appointed as Associate Director at Indigo’s Birmingham office and joins from Iceni Projects. Fieldhouse started her career with Indigo as a graduate and has previously worked for Berkeley Group, where she worked on a number of high-profile brownfield projects, including Goodman’s Fields and One Tower Bridge.

Her appointment sees Indigo expand its offering in Birmingham, which has become an important area for the business as the city continues to see significant regeneration take place.

Speaking about her appointment, Fieldhouse said: “I started my career at Indigo as a graduate. After a period at a developer and another consultancy, returning home to Indigo was an easy decision for me.”

Fieldhouse’s appointment provides the Birmingham team with wide-ranging skills and experience suited to projects taking place across the city and a unique perspective of planning from her in-house experience with Berkeley and at a local planning authority. Her expertise includes large urban regeneration projects, tall buildings, mixed-use developments, heritage and design.

The appointment coincides with numerous promotions within Indigo’s Leeds and London teams. In London, Philip Freeman-Bentley has been promoted to Associate, Michael Wood to Associate Director and Mark Teasdale to Director. In Leeds, Julie White and David Smith have been made Associate Directors.

Other promotions include Anna Stott, Alex MacGregor and George Burgess, who have been promoted as Senior Planners in the London office, whilst in the Leeds Beth McQue has been promoted to Senior Planner and Fraser Dann has been promoted to Planner.

Simon Neate, Executive Chairman of Indigo Planning said: “The recent promotions in our Leeds and London offices reflect the great level of expertise we have across these regions as we continue to go from strength to strength. I am delighted to also welcome Rebecca Fieldhouse to our Birmingham team. Birmingham is a key area for us and having someone of Rebecca’s calibre and experience will strengthen our offering even more.”
