Midlands property consultancy Innes England has bolstered its Professional Services team with two new appointments.

Surveyor Andrew Smith joins from Cushman and Wakefield where he honed his skills in rent reviews, lease renewals and negotiation.

Andrew also brings more than ten years’ experience in property and in-depth knowledge of business rates to the firm’s regional team. He previously graduated from the University of Reading with a RICS-accredited degree in Estate Management and is an Honours Member of the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation (IRRV).

Andrew said: “Innes England is well respected across the Midlands and I’m looking forward to working alongside one of the best professional teams in the region.”

Danielle Spencer has been appointed graduate surveyor and will be working alongside director Phil Glenn. She will join the firm’s structured Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) training scheme to become a fully-qualified chartered surveyor.

Danielle recently graduated with a first-class BSc with honours in Estate Management from Northumbria University, where she completed a dissertation on the Government’s proposal to ban and restrict residential ground rents. Alongside her studies, Danielle gained practical experience as a property administrator with Forte Freehold Management and on placement with the Adderstone Group.

Danielle said: “I’m enjoying working with qualified, experienced surveyors in the valuation sector. Innes England has a prominent presence in the Midlands and I can’t think of a better company to learn from.”

Director Steve Holland said: “We’ve been searching for the right individuals to grow our team for some time and I’m confident Andrew and Danielle will make an impact.

“Andrew has excellent experience and knowledge and Danielle is an ambitious graduate with great potential which will help us to continue to provide an excellent service for our growing client list. Both have great careers ahead of them.”
