The construction team at commercial property developer Stoford Developments has been bolstered with the appointment of Ben Gwilliam as project manager.

Ben, who brings 14 years’ experience of the property industry to the Birmingham-based company, will deliver projects from tender through to practical completion, and aftercare with the occupier.

Ben, who is vice-captain at Redmarley cricket club in Gloucestershire, has helped to deliver a series of high-profile schemes, including a £20 million Acute Day Case Surgical Unit and a £16 million four-storey car park for Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, for which he acted as strategic estates partner.

He gained a degree in Construction Management at the University of the West of England in Bristol before joining Britannia Construction and moving on to Prime Developments as senior development manager. He has an impressive track record of delivering specialist healthcare development projects.

Ben said: “Stoford is a specialist in its field and is involved in a number of exciting, large-scale development projects, which makes it a great time to join this growing company. I’m looking forward to working with the team and developing my skills further.”

Stoford joint managing director Matthew Burgin said: “Stoford has enjoyed a strong and sustained period of growth over the past few years and we continue to play a key role in the development of logistics and warehouse schemes across the country. Ben’s appointment bolsters the team further.”

Stoford is a leading commercial developer, specialising in occupier led projects; encompassing manufacturing, logistics and corporate office markets. It has delivered over 12 million sq ft of pre-let development and has more than 677 acres under development throughout the UK.
