Top tier Bournemouth law firm Steele Raymond has welcomed Rosanna Parker, a newly qualified solicitor, into its Commercial Property team.

Having read French and Spanish at the University of Leicester and then law at Bournemouth University, Rosanna joined the firm as a paralegal before embarking on a training contract with the firm in 2016, qualifying as a solicitor in 2018.

Rosanna said: “I am very excited to become a part of one of the fastest growing and successful commercial property teams in Dorset. I have had a great deal of support from the firm during my training contract and I am so pleased to be continuing my career with this forward thinking firm.”

Rosanna joins the 14-strong commercial property team specialising in granting and taking leases, buying and selling commercial properties, taking mortgages and charges over commercial properties and dealing with general leasehold management including subleases, licences to assign and lease extensions.

Chris Twaits, Partner and head of the Commercial Property team, said: “From the moment we met Rosanna we knew she was going to have a bright legal career. We are delighted that Rosanna has chosen to continue that career here with us at Steele Raymond. She will add a new level of depth to our experienced commercial property team and will further enhance the quality of commercial legal advice enjoyed by our clients.”

Steele Raymond has a very strong track-record of nurturing talent with three of the firm’s partners, Chairman Tim Stone, Nick Davies and Craig Hardman, all starting their careers as trainee solicitors at the firm. The firm was also recently nominated for the Best Trainer – Medium Regional Firm at the national LawCareers.Net Training & Recruitment Awards 2018.

Commercial Property Partner and Training Principal responsible for training contracts at Steele Raymond Jennifer Rogerson said: “We pride ourselves in the training that we give to the next generation of solicitors and are extremely pleased when talented trainee solicitors decide to continue their legal careers with the firm following qualification. Rosanna is an inspirational example of the journey from paralegal to solicitor and we see Rosanna having a very bright future with the firm.”

The firm is currently looking for trainee solicitors to commence their training with the firm in September 2019 and September 2020. The deadline for application submissions is 29 June 2018.
