Harris Lamb celebrates 20 years in business

Award-winning Midlands property consultancy Harris Lamb has celebrated its 20th anniversary with clients old and new at a drinks reception in Birmingham.

The business, based in Francis Road, has flourished since it was established in 1992 and now operates four offices, in Birmingham, Worcester, Stoke-on-Trent and London. Celebrating  the landmark occasion with clients at the city’s Opus restaurant,  directors took the time to thank supporters spanning the past two decades for their support.

Amongst the guests were A&J Mucklow, one of the business’s first clients, with whom Harris Lamb has worked ever since.

Director Andrew Lamb said: “It gives us real pleasure to have such long-standing clients and to be working for the same businesses today that we made our first footsteps with back in 1992. Twenty years is quite a landmark, and one that we feel proud to have reached given the economic climate over the past five years and the casualties that the recession has taken within the property sector.

“Throughout those tough times, the Harris Lamb team has proved itself time and again, resulting in the agency being named Estates Gazette agency of the year for the past four years running, and we’ve been able to build on our firm foothold in the region to really try to make a difference in the property market.

“The market continues to throw us challenges, but a combination of providing great deals and giving plenty of sound advice has given our clients confidence in our work and helped make us the success that we are today. The past two decades have seen us progress from a niche practice to a solid property consultancy that offers broad property advice to clients across the UK, and our job moving forward is to build on that and continue to support existing and new clients and add value to our relationships.”

Harris Lamb employs a team of 45 employees across a full range of disciplines; management, planning, project, agency, rating, building surveying, rent review and investment, ensuring it offers a a diverse and detailed collective knowledge and a strong network of contacts to keep the business at the forefront of the property sector.
