Toshiba takes remaining space in West Bromwich’s Guardian House

West Bromwich’s premier office building is now fully let with the arrival of Toshiba TEC UK Imaging Systems in Guardian House.

In a deal brokered by property agent Bond Wolfe, Toshiba has taken the entire 6,393 sq ft first floor office space in the 41,650 sq ft building on a ten year lease.

The building was formerly occupied solely by Challinors Solicitors which collapsed with debts of £11 million in 2013.

Since then, Bond Wolfe has taken on the empty building and let space to SIPS – Sandwell Inspired Partnership Services – which took 25,000 sq ft and law firm Clark Brookes Turner Carey which occupies 7,500 sq ft.

Bond Wolfe managing partner James Mattin said: “This is a prominent building fronting the Tesco-led New Square development.

“The deal with Toshiba TEC UK Imaging Systems brings to a conclusion Bond Wolfe’s most productive ever quarter following a string of strong sales and lettings.”

Don Critchley, Toshiba TEC service director said: “We are delighted to announce the relocation of our UK Service and Support Hub to Guardian House, West Bromwich. Our central location is within close proximity to M5 / M6 junction links for greater accessibility for our visiting customer.

“With West Bromwich being an integral area for the future Commonwealth 2020 games we are excited by the opportunities that this will bring.

“The move will bring new beginnings and opportunities and the enhanced ambience will help develop the service team in a more positive environment.”
