As one door closes another opens as Came BPT acquires new warehouses and offices

JLL has completed on the sale of a 22,000 sq ft unit on Willow Farm Business Park, a well established 50 acre mixed distribution and office park, 2.5 miles west of Junction 24a of the M1.

The modern industrial unit has been acquired by its new owner occupier, Came BPT, who retained the services of Innes England property consultants to seek and acquire a new facility. The acquisition enables Came BPT to consolidate their Midlands operation into one central hub within easy reach of their previous base.

Came BPT are the UK’s leading supplier and innovator in automatic gates, door entry systems, parking barriers, retractable bollards, turnstiles and tubular motors. Willow Farm Business Park is a popular established estate which continues to attract high profile businesses, existing occupiers include Toyota Tshuho, Countrywide, Spatial Global and AGC AeroComposites.

JLL sold the Sills Road unit on behalf of Western Power for an undisclosed sum, but stated a strong price has been achieved and reflects a buoyant industrial market created by a lack of supply, freehold opportunities, and strong demand especially for units in this size range.

Kate Richardson, who joined the JLL team at the end of last year said: “With only limited opportunities in the area to acquire units of this size and rents expected to grow by 4.5% this year, the Sills Road unit provided an attractive proposition for an owner occupier looking to invest in its own premises, with good connectivity and warehouse and offices combined.”

Scott Osborne from Innes England said: “It was a pleasure to work alongside Came BPT in acquiring their new facility, with our market knowledge we were made aware of this opportunity and subsequently agreed a swift deal with the Vendor.

“It is certainly one of the quickest transactions which I have been involved in and pays testament to how fast they may occur when everyone works together to achieve the common objective.”

Subsequently, Innes England have been retained to dispose of Came BPT’s existing premises at Orchard Park Industrial Estate, Sandiacre”
