Deal with HPH Commercial Property is in the Bag

The Paper Bag Company has moved to new premises on the Woodland Industrial Estate to allow it space to grow.

The company, launched by Jon Marling in 2006, supplies a variety of plain and printed promotional bags to a range of retailers throughout the UK. As well as paper bags, the company also supplies reusable carriers made from cotton, jute and canvas.

The Paper Bag Company has moved into Unit 6 at Woodland Industrial Estate in Westbury on a 10 year lease with landlord HPH Commercial Property.

Mr Marling said the company has moved so it can create a new department and increase the number of staff it employs.

He said, “Part of the reasoning behind the move to Unit 6 was that it would allow us to create a new digital printing department. We have invested in the latest technology enabling us to supply custom made printed bags on demand.

“We have seen an increase in demand for promotional bags needed in much shorter lead times and the new printer enables us to print complicated artwork on bags within a few days. We are the only company in the UK to have this new printer.”

The Paper Bag Company currently employs 12 people, and Mr Marling said with the growth of the business they hope to increase this by 50 per cent in the next 12 months.

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property said, “We are pleased to be welcoming The Paper Bag Company to the Woodland Industrial Estate and we look forward to supporting the business with its ambitions to grow.

“Part of our ethos is to offer support and expertise to businesses if required, and help to facilitate growth and expansion wherever possible. We believe that the Woodland Industrial Estate is the perfect location for such an aspiring and forward thinking company.”
