Million pound refurbishment pays off at Avonmouth Trading Estate

A £1 million refurbishment has been completed at the St Andrews Trading Estate in Avonmouth, near Bristol.

The popular industrial estate comprises 17 light industrial or warehouse units prominently positioned on Third Way, less than two miles from the M5 and M49 motorways.

Commercial property consultants Knight Frank, JLL and Williams Gunter Hardwick are joint agents on the estate. Josh Gunn from Knight Frank said: “The investment by the landlord in refurbishing and recladding vacant units is a very sensible move in today’s market, where demand is high for good quality units up to 10,000 sq ft.

“The refurbishment programme began to pay off earlier in the year with two units let to Pill Time Ltd and Sandhurst Ltd, and Units 4 and 13 currently under offer.

Mike Woodliffe of Williams Gunter Hardwick added: “As a result of the strong economic performance of Bristol and the wider South West economy we are seeing increasing demand from well established companies looking to expand their operations, with Avonmouth being the go to area.”

Henry De Teissier of JLL said: “The St Andrews Trading Estate continues to be a popular business location, the estate is situated in the heart of Avonmouth and is a 5 minute drive from the M5 and M49 motorways. The significant lack of supply of smaller units in Avonmouth, coupled with increasing demand has resulted in strong rental growth on the estate. Unit 10 is the last remaining unit available.”
